From Bump to Baby…
My sister Kelly had a baby last Friday. I am so excited to have another little niece around. Pink and Frills and Dollies and Tea Parties. It is girl power these days in our family and little baby millie will fit right in. Here are a couple of the maternity pictures I took of the baby bump and in the next couple days we will be doing the newborn pictures so watch for those next week.
Oh my oh my… it is that time again… Time to start a new year, to look at everything that happened in the last year, and to decide on what we want to be different for the coming year. In my quest to set “resolutions” I have decided it’s a good idea to start blogging again… I know I know, I’ve said it before… but it’s time! It is time for me to dedicate myself to blogging once a week. I am smart enough at this point to know it won’t happen every day or every time I have a shoot. I’m also smart enough to know that if I schedule it out in my calendar it will happen 90% of the time. SO… there you have it. Blogging is going in the calendar!
Other goals for 2012… why stop at blogging when there is so much else to do?!?!?
As I look back at 2011 I can’t believe how lucky I am. 2011 started with me being laid off from my job as a Staffing Recruiter. Lucky you ask? Yes! I am so thankful every day that I got laid off in January of 2011. It was a shove from the universe telling me it was time to start living my dreams and passions. And, that is exactly what I have done! This last year I have worked on building my business (thanks to all of you that joined in the fun!), I have worked on myself and becoming the best me possible and I was given and have run full force with the opportunity to change lives. I get to spend my days doing the things I love! I get to help people feel beautiful both inside and out and it couldn’t be better! I couldn’t be happier. So as I look forward to 2012 it is all about building on this great foundation. Having a stronger business, changing more lives, finding love and helping those in need.
I am so lucky to do what I love everyday! Thank you to all of you for making it possible. I wouldn’t be where I am without the love and support from all of you.

Stoic, Dapper and All sorts of fun!
I spent the morning last Thursday snapping images of Carson. Carson is graduating from Cottonwood High School this coming week so Carson naturally ditched a class to come get his pictures taken, with moms approval of course. 🙂
We started off at the Salt Lake City Library and worked our way through the streets of Downtown.
Congrats to Carson and all the 2011 seniors out there!
My mom and sisters and I have started a blog called A Family That Plays Together. It’s about family traditions, creating memories and just spending time together. One of our recent posts is about the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Salt Lake City. I had the chance to volunteer as a photographer for the event and discovered my love for taking pictures of events with purpose. Put a camera in my hand and I’m happy it doesn’t matter what it’s for but taking pictures for such a wonderful organization aimed at helping women and men around the world better their quality of life was such an amazing opportunity. There were numerous times during the day that my eyes filled with tears and my heart swelled with love. Read the full post at the link above!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend and photograph a Sweet 16 party for my cousin Sami.
What a fun and beautiful opportunity to snap some pictures of the people I love the most in the world… my family.
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph some of the funniest kids around, not to mention cutest!
Kassie a great friend of mine contacted me to do a photo shoot with her two kids and after rescheduling for weeks because of the lovely Utah spring (extended winter) we have been having we finally found a bright sunny morning to spend at Wheeler Farm with the kids.
This bottom image I am going to make into a card! It is too cute not too.
My Super cute nephew turned 3 a couple weeks ago. Some of you may have seen his birthday party pictures on Salt Lake Daily Photo.
He decided after the first spot that he no longer wanted to have his picture taken so I just followed him around and waited for the moment. We followed ducks and looked in ponds and had quite a fun time!
It’s a good thing we got the pictures done when we did because the poor guy broke his leg 2 days later. Pictures of the cast will come I’m sure.
I have been dying to share these pictures with everyone but due to them being a Mother’s Day present I had to patiently sit on them just waiting to share! One of my dear friends Emily brought her super cute family to the studio about a month ago for what turned out to be a giggle filled, super fun, full of silliness shoot. I have had the opportunity to watch her family grow as I have done several shoots for her including the joys of a wedding and a newborn baby. Thanks for letting me be part of the fun Em!

At the beginning of March I held a Cutest Kid contest on my Facebook page, people submitted pictures of their kids and fans of the page voted. I had so many adorable entries I was glad I didn’t have to choose the winner!!!
Jayne was our runner-up and having just turned one the timing was perfect!
As I was driving to the shoot that had been rescheduled a couple of times due to rain it started to sprinkle and I was bummed that we may have to push the shoot back again, but as I pulled up the Memory Grove in Salt Lake city the sun started to peek through the clouds. We dealt with the dewy grass and muddy patches and I’m glad we did.
